My name is Laura Gatto and I am the owner/manager and chief caregiver here at LBL. I grew up on 70 acres of farmland right outside of Morgantown city limits where I learned to care for a variety of animals such as horses and sheep. I went to Nursing school and graduated in 2008. I worked as an Ophthalmic Technician for a Glaucoma Specialist. After working (and volunteering) at multiple local hospitals and nursing homes I found that my true joy in life was closer to my roots. As it turns out, I enjoy taking care of animals rather than people. So I chose pet care as my profession and have been caring for animals ever since. I have studied Pet First Aid for large/giant breed dogs and specialize in breed specific care.
Mackenzie assists during busy times when there are plenty of dogs to play with. Works on weekends and holidays, when our client traffic is the highest, to help insure that each pet gets the individual attention it deserves. Mackenzie is one of our caregivers, she helps exercise and feed the dogs daily. Also assists in doggy transport pickups & dropoffs.
Audrey is my own personal dog. She is a purebred blue merle Great Dane. Born March 2011 in Clarksburg, WV she was a rescue. She was born with a tumor and went paralyzed from the waist down at 14 weeks of age. After much training and therapy she now lives a happy life and is an inspiration to us all! She is our hostess here at LBL and it is her lovely face that will greet you at the door.
